Aspiring to unravel the secrets of existence and become a master of life and death, a brilliant scientist ends up creating an ugly and scary creature… Two centuries ago, British writer Mary Shelley penned Frankenstein, a novel perceiving the past, present and future with a time-traversing vision. Two hundred years later, rapidly developing technologies are going far beyond what humanity could have conceived or imagined back then. Now, when everything is constantly changing, how is science defined? Who is the creature? Those so called intelligent represent real intelligence?

Brough by Space for Acting in collaboration with Japan-based Theatre Moments, Frankenstein/Creatures will be staged at the Dom Pedro V Theatre, the first Western theatre in China, built in the 19th century, not too far from the period when the original work was written.

Accessibility services are available for this performance, allowing individuals with different capabilities to enjoy the play, turning the theatre into an inclusive space for encounters traversing time and territories.
